Octi is an abstract strategy game. The game published in 2010 is described here, previous versions have existed. The objective of the game is to succeed in placing one of its pieces (the octipods) on one of the opposing starting bases. Quite traditionally, pieces can move one or more squares by capturing opposing pieces or jumping over friendly pieces. But before a piece can be moved, it must be improved by adding motors that indicate the directions in which it can move. At the beginning of the game, no part can do it.
There are several versions of the game, more or less complex, with two boards (double-sided). In the advanced variants, friendly parts can overlap. Two superimposed pieces can play simultaneously, each in a direction allowed to it.
