The epic story of the Colonization of the Wild West by American settlers has always been a controversial historical subject. In fact, many historians view the Colonization of this country as an example of progress that brought many benefits to this unexplored territory. On the other hand, some scholars see this period as the end of Native American culture, inexorably crushed by American settlers who wanted to build a better life, regardless of the manner, customs and rights of the natives.
Dakota brings this clash of cultures to the table. Each player controls either a native tribe or a group of settlers, and tries to achieve his or her own goals by using available natural resources to develop the community.
