Pentago is a Swedish game made up of 4 wooden squares, each with 9 cells (3x3). These squares are themselves arranged to form a large 6x6 square. Two players will take turns placing a ball (black or white) in a free cell, then they will rotate one of the squares a quarter turn in the direction of their choice. The only restriction is that they are not allowed to make the exact opposite movement of the previous player.
The first player who manages to line up 5 balls (before or after the movement) has won. It is possible to make a tie if all the balls are placed without anyone having made a line-up, or if after a move both players have a line-up simultaneously. There is also a larger version for up to 4 players, consisting of 9 3x3 squares, which are themselves placed in a square, with a 9x9 board and a central square. Always line up 5 balls.
