Four of the five kings are dead. King Stannis Baratheon lends his forces to the Night's Watch, while Houses Bolton and Greyjoy fight over the remains of House Stark. The Lannisters still hold the Iron Throne thanks to a fragile alliance with House Tyrell, while the Martells gather their forces at Dorne. Winter has come, and the final battle is about to begin. The A Dance With Dragons expansion contains a 42-card House deck and a 6-player scenario variant with different starting positions that reflect the events in A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons, the untranslated titles of the English books.
This expansion also contains 6 Scenario Preparation cards, one for each House in the base game. When playing the A Dance With Dragons scenario, follow the instructions for setting up each Scenario Preparation card for each of the Houses instead of following the instructions on the player screens. This scenario is only playable by six players.
