It's time to write a new chapter in the chronicles of the province. Each player will take charge of his own village and try to make it grow and expand its influence. Starting with a simple farmyard and a few villagers in each of the five professions: abbot, councillor, traveller, craftsman and merchant, players will have to make their village prosper by erecting new buildings, sowing the surrounding fields, travelling roads and paths, and attracting monks and customers.
But time is inexorably running out... Sometimes a villager will die, leaving his post vacant. It is possible to train a successor to take over, but sooner or later you will have to choose to neglect some areas to concentrate on others. It is also possible to keep the history of your village on parchment, but you will have to protect them from the endless invasions of rats. Once a certain number of villagers have died, the game ends. The player who has amassed the most prestige through buildings, fields, clients, monks, travels and scrolls kept away from the rats, will be declared the winner.
