In Mare Nostrum the basic game, you have access to 5 civilizations: Rome, Carthage, Greece, Egypt and Babylon. Each starting hero gives his civilization a specific advantage that will allow it to develop and rise to the rank of Empire. Mare Nostrum is a strategy game. It pushes you to make the best plans to achieve your goals. And there are many such plans. You will have to act in the best possible way during the different phases of the game, which represent the different aspects of Mare Nostrum: Commerce, Politics and Military.
Playable by 3 to 5 players, the game includes a board and additional small boards, which allow you to adapt the board to each configuration, for better visibility. Serge Laget serves us here one of his best games, for our greatest pleasure.
