Treat yourself to the most beautiful tourist destinations in France and overseas in this Mega version of Monopoly! Collect big rents by building skyscrapers on 12 additional squares. Mega Monopoly was developed by Phil Orbanes. Phil Orbanes is an avid Monopoly collector and has written several books on the subject. Aware of the (sometimes very long) duration of the games, he then tried to shorten it to keep only the best. In particular, the first part of the game, where players buy their properties, had to be reduced to a minimum.
That's when he invented the quick die (later used in the classic version of the game), which allows, when the player falls on "Mr. Monopoly", to go directly to the first property not yet sold. In order for this die to be useful during the whole game, if all the properties are sold, the "Mr Monopoly" takes the player to the first property that does not belong to him... this is bad news in this case! All that's left is to add 12 more spaces, skyscrapers, railroad depots and money to finish this Mega Monopoly.
