The Tanchyo clan settled in large forests, inhabited by spirits of air and earth, with whom they forged close ties. The Tanchyos consider it their duty to preserve these majestic forests from the misdeeds of human civilization. To preserve this nature, pure and immaculate, is a sacred mission essential for the good of future generations.
The long bows of the Tanchyo clan are the best of Kagejima. And their ingenious climbing equipment allows them to climb with so much ease to the top of the trees that one might think they were born there. All Kagejima clans are trained in bow handling, but only members of the Tanchyo clan have elevated this discipline to the rank of art. The Tanchyo fighters will always use a bow rather than another weapon, and all men, women, and children are sufficiently ready and trained that they will bring down a flood of arrows on anything that threatens their clan, or their forest.
