Centuries ago, Jorogumo haunted the rivers and lakes of Kagejima to help the unwise, and the unfortunate on the verge of drowning. Her words were benevolent and she brought them home to offer them dry clothes and some hot soup. Slowly but surely, she poisoned them, using her magic to paralyze them little by little, before sacrificing them to produce dark and powerful spells. This black magic was too impious for Earth's forces to tolerate it any longer, which is why Kagejima herself struck this woman with a terrible curse. Since then, his physical form reflects his horrible nature.
