Here comes Matsuri, the second expansion of Tokaido! With this expansion, Tokaido's journey is now punctuated by events. From now on, the stop of the Travellers in each of the 3 intermediate Relays triggers a Matsuri (Japanese word for festival).

Tokaido: Deluxe Edition was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Mar 23, 2014, the campaign lasted 25 days. 5,434 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was $40,000.00. Thanks to these 5,434 people the game could be funded up to $668,721.00, ~1,671.80%.
