You are a Nomarque. The Pharaoh appointed you at the head of a Metropolis to make it the most prosperous of ancient Egypt. The Nile ends its flood and the lands of the Valley are ready to deliver their riches. Organize the collection of resources, build the neighborhoods with the most lucrative stores, supply them with goods and earn as many Debens as possible for the glory of the Pharaoh. The player who makes the best use of the resources in the Nile Valley will win the game. Fertility is a simple resource management game that confronts you with difficult choices. Each turn, you collect wealth from the Nile Valley and immediately decide how to use it: supply one of your Shops to earn money, or spend it to build new Neighborhoods and provide you with new opportunities.
Be wise because your choices are irreversible. The resources stored in the Shops can no longer be used until the end of the game. But those that are not spent by the end of the turn will be lost forever. Optimize your moves and make the right choices if you want to win. Exploit the riches of the Nile Valley, build new neighborhoods and supply your stores. But resources have a limited lifespan. Spend them wisely, because those you don't use by the end of the turn will be lost. You'll have to be smart and opportunistic if you want to win.
