In Richard the Lionheart, you play as a character who joined the cause of King Richard or that of his brother, John Lackland. During the game, you will travel through England in order to tip the Crusade course for your faction and earn Prestige Points for yourself. It is imperative that you work with the other members of your faction to make your king the throne!
To win, a player must not only have accumulated the most Prestige Points, but must also belong to the victorious faction at the end of Richard's Crusade in the Holy Land. But beware ! Your ranks can house a Neutral character, who supports neither Richard nor John, but who seeks to have the Crusade serve his own plans. No matter the faction, there can only be one winner.
