In VERTICAL you play as a climber on a very demanding cliff, with rather ruthless competitors and you have forgotten some of your equipment. It is a game of tile placement, anticipation of movement on the tiles and strategy. You will build the cliff as you climb it. You can move on the tiles according to the equipment you have. Each player knows the contents of his bag, so the placement of the tiles will depend on your bag and that of the others. Beware, since you can draw "fall" tiles, you must be sure beforehand.
The winner is the climber who is highest when the pile of tiles is exhausted. On their turn, each player draws a tile, then moves their climber (one tile vertically or horizontally), then equips their wall. The last two actions are optional. The first tile sets the base of the cliff. The following tiles can be placed anywhere as long as they are in contact by one side with another tile. Climbers can be moved from one tile to another, as long as they have the required equipment. Most tiles do not require equipment. There are two types of equipment; climber equipment (blue), cliff equipment (orange).
