The Athelorn Avengers are the epitome of everything that ranks the Wood Elf teams among the best in Blood Bowl: amazing speed and agility, unexpected savagery and natural talent. Star players such as Jordell Freshbreeze and Gloriel Summerbloom are on the lips of Blood Bowl fans everywhere. As a result, Wood Elf teams are extremely popular because of the show they put on - they are just as likely to literally dance around their rivals with impunity as they are to get crushed just as literally.
Their members know how to play better than anyone else, and they do so with striking grace. Wood Elves hit fast and hard, but unfortunately they are not known for their endurance and stamina. They embody the proverbial glass dagger, but they deliver impressive results in the hands of a skilled coach. If you're content to get by with a minimum of effort, this is not the team for you - it takes finesse and skill to win matches, but if you do succeed, you know it's well deserved. For their part, the Wardancers are among the most impressive starters in the game, as all Wood Elves have at least 7 in Motion in their early days, and they have access to one of the broadest ranges of Star Players in existence.
This plastic kit contains all the components needed to assemble the Athelorn Avengers, a Wood Elf team for Blood Bowl matches, including 2 Catchers, 2 Throwers, 2 Wardancers and 6 Line Elves, plus a team sheet. The set comes with a decal board, 2 tower counters with a Wood Elf symbol, 3 balls in the theme, and 14 round 32mm Citadel bases with a hole for attaching the ball.
