In the second half of the 14th century, in Ceylon, a country now known as Sri Lanka, a fungus decimated all coffee plantations on the island, causing a severe economic crisis. Scot James Taylor, later followed by many other entrepreneurs, replaced coffee crops with tea plantations, giving rise to what many connoisseurs today consider to be the best tea in the world.
In Ceylon, you will play the role of the pioneers who developed the Ceylon tea industry. You will have to build plantations, harvest, develop the necessary technology and export the different varieties of tea all over the world. The player who will contribute most to the reputation of Ceylon tea will win the game.
