In the 19th century, Alexander von Humboldt was considered the second Columbus. His first great voyage of discovery across America took him from the Amazon jungle to the White House. The knowledge he gained not only opened up a new way of looking at nature and its relationships, but also made Humboldt the most famous man of his time, after Napoleon. But the measure of the world continues: As adventurous young scientists, the players of Humboldt's Great Journey follow the legendary route of Humboldt's expedition across the American continent.
Following the "mancala" principle, they travel in stages from one place to another, collect the objects they find and send them to selected personalities around the world in order to make the results available to a knowledge-hungry public as quickly as possible. Who will succeed in making a name for himself among the renowned scientists of the 19th century and be admitted as an associate member of the Academy of Sciences?
