You will have to give your all to overcome the torments of the crypt. Helping each other, thinking on your feet and making decisions will be the key words of your excursion. L'Ordre de Veiel has been designed with a very simple aim, to bring together novice and experienced players around the same game. Therefore, the basics are easy to understand, if you master the addition up to 30 then you will know how to play L'ordre de Veiel. However, The Order of Veiel is still a complex game for those who want to play it. Optimise your heroes, their equipment, their characteristics and those of your team, your earnings, your expenses, your journey through the crypt.
The Order of Veiel does not aim to revolutionise the genre or to bring a whole range of rules that are difficult to tackle. What you are looking for here is simplicity of access and complexity of control. Like a good old Dark Souls: roll, two attacks and block. It's easy to understand, but so hard to master. Think of it as a way to bring your novice friends together with your purist friends. It should be seen as a way to recapture the atmosphere of your wild RPG games, but in 2 short hours because sometimes, time is short, you get older, children appear and with it, the complexity of a fixed schedule. It is a way to approach a rich universe with its codes, its history and its heroes. ODV is a simple fantasy game on a JDR basis with a real learning curve to entertain new players as well as veterans.
