The great Kamis, the Japanese gods of sun, moon, sea, wind, thunder, storm and war, walk among mortals! They are no longer content to be passively venerated in their sanctuaries and physically manifest themselves in the Land of the Rising Sun, in order to help the Clans who pay homage to them and model the provinces according to their desires.
With the Kamis Unleashed expansion, these deities become a force to be reckoned with. Rather than simply giving their favors to the most fervent Clan on every Kami tour, they now roam the board and support one clan or another during conflict. Not content to join the ranks of the most loyal clan, each one of them has a unique power that affects the province they occupy.
This expansion also contains a brand new Secondary Season card deck offering new options and new strategies, whether used in the classic game or with the rules of the Raging Kami.

Rising Sun was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Apr 4, 2017, the campaign lasted 28 days. 31,262 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was $300,000.00. Thanks to these 31,262 people the game could be funded up to $4,228,060.00, ~1,409.35%.
