With L'Antre du Roi de la Montagne, discover an innovative and highly anticipated strategy game based on the cascade production system. Unearth riches, dig tunnels and build large rooms by raising the overturned statues of your ancestors in their places of honor.

A mountain for five kings. All players play on the same board, but each starts with a different tunnel, allowing them to begin their exploration of the mountain by following their own strategy. Tunnel networks allow you to reach resources, then spend them to reach even more interesting areas, create workshops to transform them, but also (and most importantly!) find the statues of your ancestors and transport them by wagon to the sacred halls. The Cave of the King of the Mountain seduces in particular by its original game mechanics and its very marked interaction between the players. Always indirect, it is nonetheless central to the gameplay: players must be the first to reach the most coveted areas and the best way to achieve this is to slow down the progress of your opponents. If Trolls start the game in separate galleries, they inevitably move towards a common zone, which is a source of high tension. Note that players also share the same spells and recruit their trolls from the same pool of cards, for even more interaction.

A resolutely expert game. With L'Antre du Roi sous la Montagne (King's Cave under the Mountain), don't be mistaken, you're diving into an Expert game. As soon as it opens, a plethora of equipment awaits you: wooden blocks, carts, tiles, gems, coins... And if the game is generous with its equipment, it is to better serve its original, ambitious and at least equally generous gameplay. Tile laying, resource management, cascade production, anticipation, running and blocking are all aspects that make L'Antre du Roi de la Montagne an incredibly rich game. Players will be able to experiment with many strategies while exploring the mountain to reach the ultimate step to the throne of the Kingdom! Finally, the cascading resource production system, a true playful innovation, gives the game a very special rhythm. The game starts with development and observation rounds, before providing a real feeling of empowerment with increasingly complete, twisted and rewarding game rounds for players as the game progresses.

Two extensions included. Cherry on the mountain, this edition directly includes 2 extensions in addition to the basic game. The first, "Champions", will allow each player to embody a Troll Leader with his own abilities to bring more asymmetry to the game. The second one, "The Cursed Mountain", is a module allowing to play the game solo or up to 5 players, in 100% cooperative mode!

L'Antre du Roi de la Montagne was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Feb 28, 2019, the campaign lasted 23 days. 4,393 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was CA$40,000.00. Thanks to these 4,393 people the game could be funded up to CA$379,848.00, ~949.62%.
