Valda is a competitive strategy game where, as a Viking chieftain, you manage a village and resources, play powerful spells and build temples. In this way, you gather followers, fight enemies and climb the steps to godhood. Realm of the Gods: Loki, the trickster god, tricked Thor in a moment of distraction, causing Thor's hammer to fall on Tyr. Tyr was the god who guarded Yggdrasil, the tree connecting the worlds. Stunned for a moment, Tyr left Yggdrasil intact. An opportunity for a mortal Viking to climb the tree and become a god. But only those who are revered and worthy can become a true god. Beware: when power is up for grabs, competition is on the horizon. And the gods... well, they will play their part.

In Valda, each player completes 5 phases during their turn. As a Viking Chieftain, you roll dice to gather rare resources for your tribe. Then you plunder and explore worlds by drawing and playing cards and actions. Building temples in the various divine domains is an important goal to gain divine abilities and access to more powerful spells. But beware, enemies can attack you with the weapons of the gods. Defend yourself and use your resources and shields wisely. Fight and build with honour to receive the grace of the Gods. Which God? That depends on your play style. You like an aggressive playstyle, then Surtur is your man, you like to have multiple options to eventually use the ultimate combo, then Freya is the one for you, and so on. Having a seat at the table in the most beautiful Asgardian palace alongside Odin and Thor is your only goal. By playing cards, using your abilities and building temples, you also gain valuable followers. The Viking Chieftain with the most followers at the end of the game is worthy enough to climb the Yggdrasil world tree and become a god! Oh... and he also wins the game.
