Balada

What would heroes be without those who tell of their exploits? In Balada, you will become bards who record the brave deeds of resilient heroes and earn victory points. The player with the most compelling story is the winner! In twelve rounds, players will fill their map with events that the heroes must go through. The game is in the "flip & write" genre, where two event cards are drawn each. Each player has to choose one of these events and draw its symbol on his card. There is one hitch, however. The third card drawn each round is a landscape card and limits your choices. Players must be careful, plan ahead and make sure the hero gets equipment before facing a Boss, or not face many enemies before visiting a resting place. Players can choose from many events to maximise their points, such as magic portals, rescuing a princess, catching fish or finding treasure.

Balada can be played in two difficulty modes. In the standard mode, your hero travels to the mountain, then returns to the second side of the map. And since he transfers unhealed wounds and unused equipment, you can rely on a long strategy. The easy variant allows you to play on one side of the map with a single deck of 12 event cards without having to choose between two events each round. However, you should always think carefully about where to draw the event.
