Canopéa is a cooperative game that cleverly combines dexterity, memory and strategic thinking. Within the same game, each player can adapt the difficulty according to their age, so that the whole family can take part in the adventure. Board your Canopéa plane together and fly to 3D tree cities to collect birds to protect from poachers. A game of Canopéa consists of 5 trips to bring as many birds as possible to safety before they are captured by poachers. You start each trip with a new mission that targets one species of bird to recover. You must then navigate between the 6 tree cities to find the endangered birds.
When it's your turn, you have three chances to move the plane, hit a Tree City and knock as many stacked Birds tokens off the city. Collect all the tokens that match your mission, but if you don't find any, poachers attack and may damage the plane or steal your birds. When you want to, return to Canopéa to put all the recovered birds in a safe place. Then start a new journey with a new mission. Throughout the game, the plane and the Tree Cities will move around the table and not return to their original position. The distances between the cities will increase, which will increase the difficulty of the trips and missions.
Canopéa is an entirely intergenerational game and its varied mechanical elements allow all players to capitalise on their strengths: memory for the youngest, dexterity for the teenagers, strategic thinking for the adults. Moreover, it is possible to adapt the difficulty to each adventurer within the same game: adults can increase the challenge by using only one or two moves per turn while the youngest (from 4 years old) can simply move the plane without the propeller.
