Hallertau, in Bavaria, Germany, is the world's largest continuous hop growing region. It prides itself on being the first in Central Europe to cultivate hops. This game takes place around 1850, when the Hallertau became what it is today. As the head of a small Bavarian village in the Hallertau, your goal is to increase its wealth and prestige in the eyes of the world. To achieve this, you will have to supply the local craftsmen with products from agriculture and sheep farming. Place your workers, play your cards right and make your village shine!
Progressive worker placement: Action spaces can be used multiple times, becoming more expensive as you go. Two-field rotation system: Fields lose their efficiency over time. Fallowing fields allows them to become more and more efficient. Card combinations: You can play cards at any time; this time and the combination of cards can be very powerful. Sheep with an expiry date: Early breeding of sheep has many advantages, but the sheep eventually die of natural causes.
