The Hot & Spicy expansion adds components for a 5th player, special player boards that give each player a special ability (and a place to store their tokens, etc.), and new spicy recipes that require chili! Make your dishes even tastier, or try your hand at cooking one of the new recipes that require a little chilli! The new "hot and spicy" recipe cards can be used instead of, or mixed with, the recipe cards from the basic game.
Chilli is now a mandatory ingredient on the recipe cards! These recipes are obtained in the same way as the normal recipes, but players must now spend 4 ingredient cards to learn them (3 ingredients, plus chili).

Hibachi was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Dec 1, 2020, the campaign lasted 14 days. 707 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was A$20,000.00. Thanks to these 707 people the game could be funded up to A$52,335.00, ~261.68%.
