In the early Middle Ages, at the height of ecclesiastical power, no less than five monasteries were founded in a beautiful valley to spread the word of God. As a dean of a cathedral school, you strive to welcome the novices entrusted to you in the monasteries, thus forging an unblemished reputation. Depending on your talents, you send the novices to the monastery buildings, the chapel or the cloister. The intercession of influential people or other monks should not be underestimated. You can also carry out the special missions of the monasteries and build the stained glass windows of your cathedral to strengthen the reputation of your school. After the three-year novitiate, it will be known who has gained the most fame and glory with their helpers.
Monasterium (which means "monastery" in Latin) is a strategic game with an innovative dice mechanism that presents players with ever new challenges. The game includes a double-sided board: one side for two players and one side for 3-4 players.
