The patrician, Veterini, is dead, unless he has gone on holiday (which is not like him), and you are one of the many who would like to take over... The action takes place on a board representing the city of Ankh-Morpok. Players will try to place their officials and construct buildings, all with the help of the 132 unique cards in the game, which will bring to life most of the characters of the author of the saga: Terry Pratchett. The game mechanism promises to be simple: play a card and do one or more of the actions it proposes, as well as sometimes playing a second one. The game should therefore offer combos. Notice to the amateurs. However, you will play a personality at the beginning of the game, without the others knowing who. And depending on who you are, your endgame objective will not be the same!
If you are one of the three lords, you must achieve a majority in three specific areas of the board, but if you are Vetini (this wily man is not so easily disposed of), you must place men of your own in all nine areas of the game. If you are Chrysophrase the Troll, then your goal is to reach a certain amount of money, while the Dragon King will seek to make enough of a mess of the city for the monarchy to return and the royal descendant to take the throne. Finally, if you play the Divisional Commissioner, your objective will be to prevent the success of others until the deck of cards is exhausted...
Of course, in this city, assassins are on the prowl, and you will have the opportunity to remove your opponents' counters from the board. In fact, each time a pawn arrives in a place where another pawn appears, a trouble marker appears, allowing you to make some space on the board by using cards... Buildings will grant you additional powers that will vary according to the place where you are building, such as warning you of a bad event... because there will be events that will happen during the game, in a semi-random way. And this being Ankh-Morpok, don't look for a positive event my friends...
