Welcome, traveller, to the ancient waters of the Nile! As many new temples are built on the banks, you begin your spiritual journey to earn the favor of the Gods. Collect precious artifacts as you navigate the Nile, offer them to the monuments being built, and the Gods will bless your journey! Each turn in Nile Artefacts, you advance your ship, stopping at one of the nine ports and collecting one of the artefact cards available at that location. You can also collect gold, which can be used to obtain more artefacts or to turn around and sail down the Nile in the opposite direction.
Once each ship has arrived at one end of the Nile, players can make their offerings to the monuments being built, each of which requires a different type or combination of artefacts. Each time a monument is completed, players receive victory points based on the number of donations they have made to that particular monument. When the offerings are complete, the ships return to the Nile to travel back and collect more artefacts. Once the deck of monuments is empty, the player with the most victory points wins!
