This expansion adds the old Ry'sa Gates to the game in the form of new terrain pieces as well as powerful new First Born threats - the Talos and Cerberosa. It includes everything needed to integrate the new miniatures and terrain into the starting game, including dice, equipment tokens, event cards and a mission booklet. The expansion's new narrative campaign will see your traders attempt to take over one of these gates before crossing it to reach other undiscovered treasures in the more distant asteroid bases. New equipment and mining opportunities await you among the incredible new terrain pieces included in this game. Gates are housed in huge caverns large enough for all sorts of creatures to pass through, and the changing colours of the power pylons are an eye-catching centrepiece for your game table. New event cards shuffled into the game will represent the changing nature of the nearby gateway reality.
Three Cerberosa are included in the game. These vicious beasts are deadly in close quarters attacks and take advantage of the poison attack rules, further weakening their wounded victims. Cerberosa do not roll the knowledge die when attacking, but have their own attack die. Its additional effects include crippling strikes that reduce your skill counters, frenzied attacks that target multiple opponents, and pure brute force, adding extra poisonous hits to their attacks.
Ry'sa's Gates include two Talos. Like the Cerberosa, the Talos rolls its own dice when attacking, representing the physical effects of its powerful energy blasts. They can knock down their opponents, cause panic and even set their victims on fire! Talos are also very difficult to kill. If you manage to pierce their rock-like armour once, they will only stumble - you will have to hit them again before they recover to permanently disable them.
