La Colline aux Feux Follets

In Wispy Hill, you want to get the apprentice witches down the mountain before the witches - but you don't always know how the wisps will move the figures. To start, place supports on the board to raise the starting area, then place six apprentice witches in the back row and four witches on their designated starting spaces. Add the five coloured wisp balls to the bag. On a turn, draw a will-o'-the-wisp, then place it on top of one of the six starting channels and let it go. If the will-o'-the-wisp hits a figure, the ball stops. Pick up that figure and move it to the next coloured open space on the winding path that matches the colour of the wisp. If you move a wizard's apprentice, you must do so quickly because if the wisp touches the same figure, you can move it again! Don't rush to move the witches, as you want them to move as little as possible. If a will-o'-the-wisp doesn't hit a figure, you must move a witch of your choice to the corresponding coloured square. Once all five will-o'-the-wisps have been drawn, put them back in the bag and start again.

If you manage to move four apprentice witches to the foot of the mountain before three witches get there, you win! You can adjust the difficulty of the game by asking for more apprentice witches or fewer witches or both. You can also play competitively, with each player or team trying to get their group of four characters down the mountain first.
