As Daenerys Targaryen sweeps across Essos with her Dothraki army, she frees thousands of slaves by defeating those who oppose her. Originally, she had no intention of having them join her army, but many of them have voluntarily taken up arms and are eager to help their liberators conquer new territories. However, this group of fighters is not officially equipped or trained. They carry simple agricultural tools turned into weapons. They are dressed only in the rags they carry on their backs. However, they can still turn the tide of a battle if placed in the right place at the right time.
The Freedmen unit box for The Iron Throne: The Action Figure Game gives players of House Targaryen a new option for their forces. While the Franks are not the strongest fighters on the field, they are able to fill gaps in battle lines and hold off enemies long enough for more experienced and better equipped fighters to help them. When seconds count in a battle, the freedmen can give House Targaryen the time it needs.
