In Marvel Villainous: Taste the Power of Infinity! players move their villains to different locations in their domain, perform actions there, and inflict spell strikes on their opponents from a shared spell deck. Three different game modes allow players to increase the difficulty of their game by facing more or less events, situations that take a heavy toll on the villains until they resolve them the only way they know how. Special cards add to each villain's abilities, making them even more formidable as special cards are played.
Marvel Villainous: The Power of Lies is a stand-alone game that can also be combined with the base game Marvel Villainous: Taste the Power of Infinity! This "expandalone" game features three playable Marvel villains who each have a different goal to achieve in order to win: Loki must collect and spend ten "Mischief", while Madame Masque must defeat eight Marvel heroes, and M.O.D.O.K. must activate the Cosmic Cube.
