In a post-apocalyptic world, play as a Prescient, a Ymune with the power of precognition. As you travel down the Great River, explore the banks to rescue infected Humans, hire Ymune Doctors to heal them, or Ymune Protectors to protect the ship from future plagues. Also try to collect batteries to activate your ship's engine rooms, or food to feed the new healthy Humans... In Precognition, you really need to see the future to win the game. This means understanding a new card mechanism: the double selection system. As well as being innovative, the Dual Select System fits perfectly with the theme because, of the two cards you let go, one will come back to you on the next turn. You have 12 rounds to make the right choices. Your goal is to have the most healthy Humans at the end of the game. To keep the Humans you take in while working downstream, you will need food, Doctors to heal them and Protectors to fight the Bans you encounter. Good luck!
The game is played in 12 rounds. A round consists of 3 distinct phases. Each phase must be completed by all players at the same time. I - Decision phase (secret): draw and choose cards according to the double selection system. II - Action phase: Activate your cards to gain resources. If one of your motorised vehicles can be used, take advantage of its effects. III - Maintenance Phase: manage your Banes if you have suffered any, heal any infected Humans and advance to the Great River whose River tile event you reveal and apply. At the end of a turn, advance by flipping the River Tile over in front of the Progress Marker to reveal the end-of-turn event. Each player applies the effect of this event. Every third turn is the end of a season and is the time when you feed the newly healed Humans. Make sure you have enough food for everyone.
At the end of the third season, after feeding the healthy Humans you have saved, count them. The player with the most healthy humans wins the game. If there is a tie, the player with the most healthy humans and infected humans wins the game. If the players are still tied, they share the victory.
