Saladin is the first game in the "En Ordre de Bataille" series, which will present a legendary medieval leader and two battles in which he distinguished himself in each volume. When Gaming Meets History: Saladin is a game designed to recreate the famous battles of Hattin and Arsuf where Saladin was pitted against the crusader troops of Guy de Lusignan and then against those of Richard the Lionheart. With Saladin, take the lead of one of the armies that clashed. Order your horsemen to harass the crusader ranks or launch a devastating charge with your heavily armoured knights. Saladin is an epic game for fans of history and strategy.
Will you be able to lead your men to victory? Saladin is a historical wargame for 2 players. After choosing one of the two battle scenarios and setting up the game, each player, in turn, will command one of his banners. He will have them fight in order to disrupt his opponent's banners. To do this, he will have to spend Order tokens, the number of which will decrease at the beginning of each turn. The player who manages to preserve the cohesion of his troops by keeping the precious Order tokens will be declared the winner.
