The Z-95 clone was known throughout the universe as the ancestor of the X-Wing T-65. It was said to be a rugged fighter, although it was surpassed in maneuverability and firepower by the X-Wings, A-Wings, B-Wings and Y-Wings. It was produced jointly by Incom Corporation and Subpro Industries during the Clone Wars. It was designed specifically for the Grand Army of the Republic and flown exclusively by the clone pilots, for whom it was adapted. These fighters had many of the same features as the conventional version, but were better suited to the demands of the Grand Army and the clones.
The clones, who were trained on the Advanced Reconnaissance Fighters (ARC), had no trouble adapting to the Z-95 as their controls were similar. These aircraft appeared in the second half of the war. The Z-95 Clone starfighter is a light, multi-role variant of the widely produced Z-95 Headhunter. The versatility and manoeuvrability of this starfighter makes it a perfect support fighter capable of fulfilling a wide variety of roles.
