As Egypt grows in power and splendour, its influence now extends far beyond its borders. Set, the god of conflict, asks you to subdue Canaan and wage war on the powerful Hittite empire. Your soldiers must march on any country that dares to challenge you or pose a threat to your kingdom. This is the time to gather your armies, assemble your priests, claim powerful artefacts and secure the favour of a powerful cult to pave the way for even greater victories. Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun - Shadow of Set adds new layers of interaction and new options to Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun. A new board offers the ability to conquer neighbouring lands for in-game advantages, as well as new scoring options. New dice allow you to gather soldiers and priests. However, conquest comes at a price, as the more battles there are, the more complicated it is to balance your actions.
In addition to the soldiers needed to take control of lands beyond Egypt's borders, players also gather priests that allow them to take control of artefacts. These new cards offer new and nuanced ways to plan turns, combine strategic plays and score victory points. The expansion also contains advanced rules specifically designed to enhance the 2-player experience.
