Tindaya

The story of Tindaya takes place at the dawn of the 15th century on the paradise that is now called the Canary Islands. The conquistadors have just set eyes on it. Each player must lead an aboriginal tribe to survival in a world ruled by gods and shaped by natural disasters. Tindaya is a themed survival adventure with the soul of a Euro game. This environmentally friendly game offers two game modes to suit all groups: Cooperative (including solo) and competitive, plus the Traitor variant for players eager for an old-fashioned slaughter. The difficulty can be graduated, and less experienced players can learn to play through a 3-game mini-campaign.

Over the course of the three phases, the natives settle, advance and fight the invaders, all in a mythological setting ruled by two gods, Acoran and Moneiba. They will demand specific goods at each stage of the game. If the natives cannot or will not provide them, their divine rage will be unleashed. But the players are not alone; two seers will make predictions by reading the smoke from their bonfires. Tibiabin will see the disasters to come. Tamonante will predict where they will occur. Disaster markers will be placed on the board to indicate what is to come. End of the game: In cooperative mode, players will check to see if their collective mission has been accomplished. If so, the gods will be happy, and all the natives will win the game. In Competitive mode, solidarity points will be awarded to players who have given more to the community, used fewer resources, or achieved both collective and personal goals. The player with the most points wins the game.

Tindaya was funded on the Crowdfunding (See the campaign) platform on the Mar 7, 2022, the campaign lasted 20 days. 1,853 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was €28,000.00. Thanks to these 1,853 people the game could be funded up to €141,071.00, ~503.82%.
