When all you can identify on the horizon for days on end is the line that separates the sea from the sky, the glimpse of a distant shoreline appearing before you will send a shiver down your spine as you realise that the adventure is about to begin. You find yourself stunned, landing on the shoreline that will be the start of an in-depth exploration of the Galapagos, a magical place of inconceivable beauty and infinite biodiversity. Here you will accumulate repertoires and expand your knowledge of natural sciences. Your eyes will learn to detect the species hidden in the rainforest, contemplating the countless colours and textures of nature. After inspiring hours of study and insightful conclusions, you'll rest under a glittering sky, admiring the amazing complexity of the animal world.
Darwin's Journey is a worker-placement Eurogame in which players recall Charles Darwin's memories of his adventure in the Galapagos Islands, which contributed to the development of his theory of evolution. Thanks to the game's innovative worker progression system, each worker will have to study the disciplines that are a prerequisite to perform several actions in the game, such as exploring, corresponding, collecting and sending the repertoires found on the island to museums in order to contribute to human knowledge of biology. The game lasts five rounds, and with several short and long term objectives, each action you take will earn you victory points in different ways.
