Divinus is a hybrid, competitive, digital, tile-based game in which you play as a demigod seeking to win the favour of the Gods and ascend to a new pantheon. Players embark on a twelve scenario campaign that involves exploring lands, completing quests, interacting with the gods and influencing the outcome of the epic clash between the Greek and Norse pantheons. At the start of each campaign scenario, players open a sealed box containing new quests, components, stickers, gods, game mechanics and more. The Divinus app provides a narrative for players and sets the stakes for what's to come. Each turn, players spend dice from their pool to explore new tiles on the world board. By placing tiles on their demigod card, they must place tiles adjacent to each other with matching characteristics, while working to achieve the overall quest and god goals.

Throughout the campaign, players make permanent changes to their demigods by collecting powerful artefacts, forging their dice by altering their faces and earning titles for feats they accomplish. Players also permanently change the game world by altering tiles and placing new locations, heroes and monsters on map tiles. As players complete quests or other important objectives, they can make critical decisions via the Divinus app. Players will decide the outcome of dilemmas such as which side wins a battle, whether to build or destroy a holy place, or whether a god lives or dies. Whatever outcome the player chooses, the game elements can be changed and the Divinus application will remember and present contextual options influenced by the decision in the future. Returning to a fort you helped build with the Norse gods could be praised, while favourite demigods from the Greek pantheon could be avoided.

The Divinus campaign is ideally played over several game sessions because of the persistent and changing world. The rulebook grows with each scenario as new rules and content are unlocked. Once the campaign is complete, players can replay their unique copy of Divinus through a post-campaign infinite replayability mode.
