In Frostpunk: The Boardgame, up to four players take on the role of leaders of a small colony of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that has been hit by a severe ice age. Their duty is to effectively manage its infrastructure and citizens. The basic gameplay will be brutal, difficult and complex, but easy to learn. Citizens will not just be dumb pieces on the board. Members of society will make demands and react according to the mood of the moment, so every decision and action will have consequences.
The players will decide the fate of their people. Will you treat them as an extra resource? Will you be an inspiring builder, a fearless explorer or a brilliant scientist? Will your rule be a spur to tyranny or an era of law and equality? The game is based on the best-selling video game by 11bit studios, the creators of This War Of Mine. The original (digital) edition of Frostpunk is a BAFTA-nominated blockbuster strategy-survival-city-builder game that originally launched in 2018.
