At the Crossroads: Dystopia is a narrative and argumentative game that takes place in a series of post-apocalyptic scenarios such as an alien invasion, the attack of colossal beasts from the depths of the sea or a drought that has almost completely deserted the planet, making water the most precious resource. Each participant must build a character and try to convince others on how best to handle and survive the adversities of each party, and in doing so, prove themselves to be the best candidate to lead the colony of survivors. The main mechanics of the game are similar to a debate, where each player must respond to different complications and events that may occur in each round, trying to find clever ways to survive and prove to your fellow survivors that you are the best. choice.
At the Crossroads: Dystopia is a board game that incorporates some aspects of role-playing games, where the competitive part remains in the background while the immersive and narrative part takes on more importance. This results in the different roles that each participant will take on, as well as the choice of scenario and the unique story that the players will tell.
