Was the light bulb invented before or after glasses? With Timeline, find the answer to this question and thousands more by comparing your knowledge or intuitions with historical reality. At the beginning of the game, players all receive the same number of cards representing monuments, inventions, etc.
On the back of each card is a date. To start, a card is drawn at random from among the cards not dealt to players. It is placed in the center of the table facing the visible date and is the starting point of a timeline that will gradually be completed by the players. The first player then chooses one of his cards. If he thinks that the date of the invention of his card is before the date of the initial card, he puts his card to the left of the initial card. If he considers that his invention was created later, he places his card to the right of the original card. The player's card is then turned over, face up with the date visible. If he's right, it stays in place. Otherwise, his card is discarded and he has to pick another card to replace it.
The part continues clockwise. The more cards placed, the more difficult it is to ask new ones without making mistakes! The first player who no longer has any cards wins.
