With Timeline Sciences and Explorations, find the answer to this question and thousands of others by confronting your knowledge or intuition with historical reality. At the beginning of the game, each player receives the same number of cards representing different discoveries. On the back of each card is a date. To begin, a card is randomly drawn from the cards not dealt to the players. It is placed in the centre of the table face up and is the starting point of a timeline that will be gradually completed by the players.
The first player then chooses one of his cards. If he thinks that the date of his card's discovery is before the date of the initial card, he places his card to the left of the initial card. If he thinks his invention was created afterwards, he places his card to the right of the original card. The player's card is then turned over, face-up. If he is right, it stays in place. If not, he discards his card and must draw another card to replace it. The game continues in a clockwise direction. The more cards he places, the harder it is to place new ones without making a mistake! The first player to run out of cards wins.
