Barter! is of course a bartering game ;) With Bartering, you can create over a million proverbs - from the brilliant to the stupid - and decide who among the players is great and who is... Let's trade! Each player gets 3 cards: Subject + Verb + Moral. At the start, you have a proverb in your hand such as Violence + Sing loudly + Speak softly in his ear.
The trading phase begins: you can trade one or more cards as many times as you like between players and only once with the deck! This way, your proverb will become perhaps. The artist in you + Is a slobbering monster + Speak softly in his ear. Then everyone reads their proverb and has to reveal its deeper meaning if another player in the assembly asks "But what did you mean by that?". Chance and your bartering strategy, combined with your imagination, will make you defend or justify indefensible "maxims" to make them... great!
The voting phase closes the round: everyone passes on 1 T'es Génial card by secret ballot to the author of the best proverb and 1 T'es Troquons! card to the one who deserves it! 1 T'es Génial is worth 1 point (i.e. 1 blue cube), while 1 T'es Troquons is just a nice message inviting to progress :)
Let's swap! is a very simple and particularly addictive game, which will sometimes make you appear as a great philosopher with a deep and determining thought for the future of humanity, and sometimes as a perfect moron who desperately tries to justify a proverb that is not worth a damn. Let's swap! is also 100% recyclable and was made in Belgium and Italy.
