At the beginning of the game, players all receive the same number of cards representing scenes from one of the films. On the back of each card is indicated its sequence code. To start, a card is drawn at random from among the cards not dealt to players. It is placed in the center of the table facing the visible date and is the starting point of a timeline that will gradually be completed by the players.

The first player then chooses one of his cards. If he thinks that the scene on his card is before the scene on the original card, he puts his card to the left of it. If he feels that his scene is happening after that, he places his card to the right of the initial card. The player's card is then turned over, face up with the date visible. If he's right, it stays in place. Otherwise, his card is discarded and he has to pick another card to replace it. The part continues clockwise.

The more cards placed, the more difficult it is to ask new ones without making mistakes! The first player who no longer has any cards wins.
