In Solar Storm, you are a crew member on a ship whose energy core has been destroyed by solar flares. Worse still, the ship is caught in the sun's gravitational pull, causing even more damage. It is only a matter of time before you and the rest of the crew perish. You and the rest of the crew must repair the ship while using resources to divert what little energy remains to the energy core. You must work together if you have any hope of survival. Go for it. You have limited resources and the solar flares are continually causing more damage. Can you survive this solar storm, or will you perish in the burning abyss?
During his turn, a player can perform up to three of the following actions: move, use resources to repair an area of the ship, use resources to divert energy from an area to the energy core, recover resources, share resources or strategically save actions for later in the game. At the end of each player's turn, the ship takes more damage. The damage level increases as the game progresses. Players win if they can direct energy from all areas to the energy core. However, players will lose if an area takes too much damage or if the resource bridge runs dry. Solar Storm will offer players a unique game every time they play, as the ship's zones are randomly arranged at the start of each game. In Solar Storm, cooperative play is essential as players cannot win alone.
