Spiral powder is a wonderful, transcendental and orgasmic drug. This is what those who use it say, with their eyes wide open to reveal blue fractals instead of their irises. The consumption of spiral powder is on the increase. But why? Who is the Dust Merchant who, in the shadows, distributes this strange substance? And why do those who consume large quantities eventually disappear without leaving the slightest trace?
In The Dark Spiral, the characters are investigators from the Domaine, a secret organisation dedicated to protecting the Earth. A mission to put a stop to the activities of a local dealer in spiral powder will take them much further than expected. They are following a trail that will lead them to discover other limited universes, called recursions where reality is governed by different rules.
The game leader can mix in the main narrative arc with secondary missions from the Domain (in the order of his choice) to create a mini-campaign. The Dark Spiral introduces players to the wonders of translation between the worlds of The Strange and presents the narrative structure of the game.
In addition to introducing new locations that are not described in the basic book of The Strange, The Dark Spiral also features new creatures, characters and items to add to your campaigns.
