We are in the 90's and the Loop has been stopped, the experiments abandoned and the land bought back by Krafta, a powerful company. From now on, no one knows what goes on in the bowels of the Loop, but observers have been able to note a comings and goings of trucks, despite the official cessation of the centre's activity. During the 1990s, an unprecedented disaster occurred in your town, turning the meadows and fields into dark, stinking swamps. Some people think that the waters that flooded the grounds came from the Loop itself, from an experiment that went wrong, or from corrupt machines and computers that had become dangerous. Since then, strange things have emerged from the dark waters, noises can be heard at night in the surrounding woods... As a teenager, you go on with your life by going to college, living your first loves as a high school student and fighting against boredom. But when you hear about unexplained disappearances and one of your classmates is found dead, you understand that it is time to act. One way or another, you have to find out what the Loop still holds in its depths.
Both a supplement for Tales from the Loop AND an independent game. Things from the Flood is a complete role-playing game that is an excellent entry point into the world of the Loop. It extends the period of play into the 90's and allows you to play the same children, but older. So you can play your Tales from the Loop characters and continue to write their stories, or create new ones. You'll find everything you need to play in the book of Things from the Flood, so you don't need the book of Tales from the Loop to start your first mysteries.
If you have already played Tales from the Loop, you will immediately recognise the game system and the construction of the Mysteries. Things from the Flood simply expands the universe and provides new Mysteries and new threats to face. There are a few simple new rules to reflect the dangerousness present in Things from the Flood.
