1289. To consolidate the borders of the kingdom of France, King Philip the Fair decided to have a new castle built. For the time being, Caylus was only a modest village, but soon dozens of workers and craftsmen flocked to the town, attracted by the fortune that this formidable work could bring them. Around the construction site, a town slowly begins to emerge...
The players play the role of master builders. By building the King's castle and developing the infrastructure of the city that stretches out at his feet, they earn prestige points and win the King's favor. When the castle is finished, the player with the most prestige wins the game.
Since its release October 2005, Caylus has won numerous awards and has been particularly well received by players. Even if the game started a little while ago, you can still have a good time playing it, below the reward obtained by the game : 2005 (Tric Trac d'Or).
