The German Hanseatic League, or Hansa, expanded into the eastern parts of Europe. New alliances had to be forged and shipping routes became more and more important, all depending on the wholesalers. Even cities not affiliated with the Hanseatic League are now supposed to be part of its network. Players face new challenges in order to strengthen their reputation as the best trader.
