This expansion contains four new Great Ancients, which can be used together or separately during your Cthulhu Wars games. Choose at first which independents you want to add, and place them next to the map. Each Independent has their own miniature, loyalty card, and grimoire (as well as canvas counters for Atlach-Nacha). The first player to awaken a Grand Elder Independent places his miniature in play and takes his loyalty card. Each Independent has his own special ability, and you can further improve it by unlocking his grimoire. All independents have a real impact on the game, they are not just extra monsters. They can change victory conditions, change the rules or hit your enemies in unexpected ways.
Atlach-Nacha - The cosmic spider eternally weaves its divine web across the worlds. When it is finally finished, the end of time is here and if you control Atlach-Nacha you win the game! Bokrug - The aquatic lizard, revered by the extinct race of Ib. In Cthulhu Wars it always announces misfortune. It often makes its debut as an immortal but fairly harmless Great Elder, until you unleash its true power, forcing your chosen opponent to suffer in every phase of the apocalypse.
Father Dagon - Coming from the depths, he can strike anywhere on the globe with his tsunamis and increase your power if you permanently sacrifice worshippers to him, so you have to win quickly or you won't have any worshippers on the map! Ghatanothoa - Cthulhu's ugly "little cousin" who can mummify enemy worshippers, making them totally useless. Knowing how to place Ghatanothoa in the right place is crucial.
